Hey there,

Eunmi believes that breakthroughs can happen in therapy when clients are seen for who they are with unconditional and non-judgmental empathy, fostering personal growth and healing. As a compassionate and dedicated counselor, Eunmi brings a unique blend of medical and therapeutic expertise to her work. Her journey in the healthcare field began with a medical degree in South Korea in 2006, instilling a deep belief in integrating medical and mental health services. This passion for holistic care drives her commitment to bridging the gap between physical and mental health.

Eunmi is a proud mother of three and is fluent in both English and Korean. Her international upbringing enables her to effectively communicate with diverse individuals, emphasizing multicultural sensitivity and cultural competence. In addition, she has over a decade of experience serving as a spiritual mentor on college campuses, where she guided students through their spiritual journeys, offering support, counseling, and encouragement.

Eunmi holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from North Park University. Her clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, their families, and young adults, addressing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, family dynamics, and life transitions. She uses an integrative approach, combining person-centered therapy, psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, and narrative therapy. She believes in tailoring her approach to meet each client's unique needs, emphasizing the importance of creating a trusting environment. Eunmi is committed to involving families or support systems when appropriate, believing that this collaboration is crucial for a client’s progress.

Outside of her clinical work, Eunmi enjoys reading, walking her dog, quality time with her family, painting and pottery.
