Hey there,

Alexandra feels honored by the opportunity to join clients on their therapeutic journey. She is excited to assist them in taking steps that are consistent with what matters most in their life. Alexandra is committed to creating a space that is safe and welcoming for individuals from all walks of life. She values the therapeutic alliance as it creates a strong foundation to foster growth. She believes an essential catalyst to change is one's willingness to gently pull back the layers of their being to discover who they are at their core. Through this collaborative process, Alexandra joins her clients as they take steps towards a life that is characterized by emotional and physical well-being.

Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She incorporates a variety of therapeutic techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, client-centered play therapy, and self-compassion and mindfulness-based strategies in her current clinical practice. Alexandra has treated clients throughout the lifespan presenting with mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD/C-PTSD, adjustment disorders, ADHD, learning disorders, grief, and relational distress. She recognizes how culture influences clinical presentations and accounts for this in the conceptualization and treatment of her clients. Alexandra has a special interest in working with children and adolescents as she understands how significant these developmental stages are, and moreover the importance of early intervention. In addition, she has a particular interest in working with individuals who have a history of trauma and is a trained EMDR therapist.

What clients say about Alexandra

Alexandra really helps me to feel seen and has helped me find peace with the workings of my inner landscape. I have learned to slow down and greet all of my feelings with kindness and compassion, even the challenging ones. I am more mindful of my feelings as they emerge, and slowly, I am welcoming a sense of curiosity instead of judgement. Meaningful transformation takes time, and I am slowly learning the power in surrender.
— Former client
Alexandra has helped me cultivate a stronger sense of mindfulness and has improved my capacity for treating myself and others with compassion. I now have a toolkit for managing my emotions in a healthy way. I would describe Alexandra as kind, warm, collaborative, receptive, integral, strong, brave, and courageous.
— Former client
I started seeing Alexandra after having been with another therapist for several years and I couldn’t be happier with our work together. She has incredible insight, and she’s skilled at listening to my thoughts and being able to extract and synthesize issues to work on. Not only is she affirming and encouraging, she also gives helpful feedback and can identify potential things to work on and helpful ways to move forward.
